Hamilton-based 80 Acres Farms, a leader in vertical farming, has secured $115 million in new funding, strengthening its ability to scale operations and expand product offerings. The investment will support retail expansion, supply chain growth, and new ingredient solutions, reinforcing Ohio’s leadership in sustainable agriculture.
In addition to the capital raise, 80 Acres Farms has acquired Plantae Biosciences, an Israeli biotech company focused on plant breeding innovations. The acquisition integrates Plantae’s research team into Infinite Acres Israel, the international arm of Infinite Acres, 80 Acres’ technology-driven subsidiary.

Founded in 2015, 80 Acres Farms operates indoor farms utilizing 100% renewable electricity and 95% less water per pound of produce compared to traditional farming methods. Their pesticide-free products, including salads, herbs, microgreens, and tomatoes, are available at over 1,500 retailers and restaurants across the eastern United States.
