Ohio startups can now apply for JumpStart’s Trailblazer Software Accelerator

JumpStart has opened applications for Cohort 3 of its Trailblazer Software Accelerator, offering up to $125,000 in non-dilutive funding and extensive startup support for early-stage innovators. The application deadline is April 27, 2025.

Unlike traditional accelerators, Trailblazer takes no equity. Instead, it invests directly in founders through a combination of funding, services, and expert support—helping startups move faster while staying focused on what matters: building and scaling.

How it works

The three-month program is designed for pre-seed and seed-stage software startups. Through a structured curriculum and personalized support, participating companies receive:

  • Up to $125,000 in non-dilutive funding

  • First $50,000 fully covered through the Preferred Partner Program

  • Co-investment on the next $215,000 in startup services

  • One-on-one guidance from industry experts

The support covers areas like product development, legal and regulartory expertise, and marketing and investor materials.

Program details

The accelerator offers a structured and founder-focused experience designed to accelerate growth and commercialization, including:

  • Hybrid Format: A 3-month program blending virtual learning with in-person sessions for flexibility and deeper engagement.

  • Extended Support: After the core program, startups receive 2 additional months of personalized advising from a dedicated Entrepreneur-in-Residence.

  • Cohort Collaboration: Participants benefit from regular cohort meetups to build connections with peers, subject matter experts, and investors.

  • Investor Showcase: The program concludes with an in-person investor showcase, giving founders the opportunity to pitch directly to potential funders and partners.

This structure is designed to ensure that startups walk away not only with funding, but with the knowledge, network, and momentum to scale.

Why it matters

The accelerator has already helped two cohorts of founders sharpen go-to-market strategies, accelerate product validation, and prepare for venture capital.

JumpStart is accepting applications through April 27, 2025. Interested founders can apply or learn more at JumpStart’s Trailblazer Software Accelerator page.
