Anduril Industries, a global leader in advanced defense manufacturing, has announced plans to build a new 5-million-square-foot manufacturing facility in Ohio.

The project, known as "Arsenal-1," is the largest economic development initiative in Ohio’s history, set to create more than 4,000 jobs by 2035 and support critical national defense manufacturing. The facility will be located in Pickaway County, near Rickenbacker International Airport in Central Ohio.

A Transformational Investment

Anduril’s Arsenal-1 hub will leverage advanced software and manufacturing technologies to hyperscale the production of vital defense resources, addressing global security needs. The $910 million capital investment is expected to generate significant economic benefits, including:

  • Direct jobs: 4,008 by 2035, with an average salary of $132,000 plus benefits.

  • Indirect jobs: Over 8,500 additional positions supported statewide.

  • Economic output: More than $2 billion annually, contributing $968 million to Ohio’s GDP.

  • Tax revenues: $822 million projected over 15 years.

The project qualifies for Ohio's megaproject status, making it eligible for a 30-year Job Creation Tax Credit valued at $452 million. JobsOhio will also provide $310 million in economic development grants and talent acquisition services to support the project.
